Immigration and Nationality Fees

Amendments are made to the Immigration and Nationality (Fees) Regulations 2018 to provide for reduced fees for applications for entry clearance to enter the UK and the Isle of Man and for limited leave to remain in the UK. These reduced fees apply to individuals who are eligible for a ‘Health and Care Visa’ and who are applying under the Tier 2 (General) immigration route under the UK immigration rules or the Worker Migrant route under the Isle of Man immigration rules. These Regulations come into force on 4 August 2020.

Money

The Immigration and Nationality (Fees) Regulations 2018, SI 2018/330, set fees for (among other things) applications for entry clearance to enter the UK, and applications for limited leave to remain in the UK, as a Tier 2 (General) Migrant.

Provisions are made to:

• provide for the fee to be reduced by a specified amount where the Confirmation of Employment issued in respect of the application confirms that the applicant is eligible for a Health and Care Visa, as provided for by the document entitled ‘Confirmation of Employment Guidance’ published by the Isle of Man Cabinet Office

• reduce the Tier 2 General Fee for Health and Care Visa from £704 to be reduced by £472 for three years or less and from £1,408 to be reduced by £944 and Tier 2 General Fee for Health and Care Visa, if the Certificate of Sponsorship states a job role as a Shortage Occupation, from £464 to be reduced by 50% (i.e. by £232) for three years or less and from £928 to be reduced by 50% (i.e. by £464) for more than three years

• provide that where the fee for the application is required to be reduced because the applicant is eligible for a Health and Care Visa
