Children Visa UK
You need to use this visa if you would like to bring a child or children (under 18 years old) to the UK – children of a British Citizen, a settled person or the spouse of a British or settled person can submit this application to join their parent(s) in the UK.
The following requirements must be fulfilled for the application to be successful:
- Both parents are present and settled in the UK or are being admitted with the child, or
- One parent is present and settled in the UK, while the other is being admitted with the child, or
- One parent is present and settled in the UK or is being admitted with the child, while the other is dead, or
- One parent is present and settled in the UK or is being admitted with the child, and has had sole responsibility for the child’s upbringing, or
- one parent (or a relative) is present and settled in the UK or being admitted for settlement, and there are serious and compelling family or other considerations which make the child’s exclusion undesirable, and suitable arrangements have been made for the child’s care.
Also, the child must be under 18 years old, unmarried and it can be maintained and accommodated without social assistance.
